Oliveward (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What Data We Collect
Data Stored on Your Device
Oliveward stores all user data locally on your device. This includes:
- Onboarding preferences (experience level, interests, daily goal)
- Reading position and progress
- Reminder settings
- Prayer history
- Shield settings and session data
- Theme preferences
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Analytics
We use PostHog to collect anonymized usage analytics. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve the experience. Analytics data includes:
- Pages viewed and features used
- App open/close events
- Device type and operating system version
Analytics data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Purchases
Premium subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifying information
- We do not collect your location
- We do not collect the content of your prayers or reading notes
- We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising
Children’s Privacy
Oliveward does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app stores data locally on the device and does not require account creation.
Your Rights
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. To delete your account, go to Settings > Delete Account within the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
